A joint effort between BCLA's Information Policy and Intellectual Freedom Committees
This year we are at V40, in the "village", tables around the library. By my reckoning, this is near the Hamilton/Robson corner of the library, near the main stage. Check out the map on the WOTS website.
Once again we will be bringing back the ever-popular roulette wheel of Info Policy fortune! What we do is: invite people to spin the wheel. The wheel is covered with wedges labelled with different topics. We ask the wheel-spinner a question from whatever category their spin lands upon. They take a stab at it and win a candy (whether they get it right or not).
We will also give out buttons to people participating in the bookbag treasure hunt giveaway.
Please add your name after tasks if you volunteer for that task:
- complete registration form (done)
- register to participate with the book bag giveaway (done)
- make some more button templates (done)
- make 220 buttons (templates printed; Beth to pick up button maker from BCLA Thurs am)
- buy candy (Beth - done)

- prebook at The Party Bazaar: pick wheel up any time Saturday after 2PM (alley entrance; Door #4:Rentals); pick-up under "Bethan Davies". Return wheel by Monday 12:00 noon
- contact Allie at BCLA office to cut a cheque easier to be reimbursed after the event
- make paper overlay to cover wheel (pictures of last year's wheel here, but be as creative as you like!) Dimensions: wheel is 29.5" diameter, template area is 27 1/16", 43 pegs, 1 5/8" space ()
- pick up (Caroline) and return the day after the event (Caroline)--need a car!
- sit at table (sign up for shifts here)
- take pictures on the day ()
- blog it before/after the event for IPC blog () for IFC blog ()
